DDO

DDO Home Page

Posted in

This is the Avatars home page for the MMO Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited. It is intended as the permanent parking lot for DDO related links, knowledge, stories, discussions, et. al.

The Avatars were formed in 2006 on Mabar (now Argonessen) server during the headstart for DDO. The initial enthusiasm waned to only a few members after the first two months, and the guild took an impromptu hiatus from DDO until late 2007 when the current guild membership once more took up the game and began playing on a weekly basis. Currently, the membership's highest level characters are 14th-16th level, pushing 17th hard.

Site Down... Back Up

The site was down for a few hours this morning.  Should be back up now.

The Shroud

Posted in

I just talked with Noble Fist and they are excited to run the Shroud with us--tonight!  They are expecting us at 9 and are east coasters, so--assuming everybody is happy with this and will be here tonight--it would be good if we get started as close to on-time as we can.  If you know you can't make it, will be late, or don't wish to do this, please post as soon as you can.

See you tonight.

New Group?

Posted in

So we've been without a 6th man for quite some time now.  We have a player, Chris, who would probably join us in that spot if he had a character to play.  Also, adventures at our level have gotten a bit... unenjoyable lately.

Does anybody think forming a new 6 man group with Chris and playing that group on Sundays in addition to/instead of the high levels would be fun?  I have no agenda here, merely tossing out something that might not have been considered.  I'm happy to keep playing Valtar, but I thought Chris might appreciate getting in on the fun, and everybody else might enjoy a new role.

This is in no way intended to exclude Mel; if he returns we can alternate groups so he can play his Cleric, or he can play in the alternate group if anybody else doesn't want to participate, or we can take turns rotating with him.

To be clear, I'm talking about a dedicated group who play together and stay on the same quests, with each role taken by one of us: healer, tank, caster, rogue, and two others (hopefully a Bard will be one of them!).

If people are too burned out on DDO, no worries.  Just a thought.

Uploading & Adding Images to Your Content

Avatar Badge

One of the best features of the web is the ability to easily integrate images into stories and articles, making them more attractive, immersive, and often more informative.  There are tools for uploading and inserting images into content you create for the Guild Avatar website, and this Help entry is intended to tell you how to do it.  The tools are not particularly intuitive, so a brief tutorial was definitely in order.

A Few Caveats, Provisos, & Quid Pro Quos

The file extensions that are allowed to be uploaded are limited.  Currently these are limited to: jpg jpeg gif png txt html doc xls pdf ppt pps odt ods odp docx xlsx dnd4e.  If you need other extensions added, please let me know.

The maximum file size you can upload is 2MB, and a graphics resolution of 1024x768 for images.  You also have a single user limit of 100MB.  Please keep your uploads to a reasonable level and use smaller and lower resolution images where possible.

Here's the part with the 3rd engine room:

I did try his technique on the first launcher couple times, and I couldn't do it. I'ld guess it requires at least haste, and possibly jump.

In other news (in response to a discussion fallen off the top page) Beol took toughness at 15, and is up to 241 hp now, 261 if I remember to swap in my dusk heart, which I try to avoid, because it requires remembering to swap back to the voice.
