RIFT Group Night

Harrow Server, Guardian Faction

Level Limit: 29

Our current Guild Quest is to kill 25 bosses in Darkening Deeps or the Foul Cascade. If enough people are on, we can try and run one or the other with whoever is available. I will also try and see if we have an easier quest available. Since we've made no progress on the current quest, we could dump it in favor of killing Defiant, which is much quicker/easier.

Update: I have changed the quest to closing 100 rifts of level 15 or higher. The PvP guild quest was to win 35 matches in the Codex, not kill defiant players, and that seems harder to me than closing Rifts. Rift Runs tonight anybody? We can form one large group for it...

Tanks: Eran, Ruinous, Lotho, Madraider
Healers: Anaya, Forlorn
Mages: Valtar, Varaena, Rentai, Shalius
DpS: Ashkana, Wryn, Madraider, Eran, Ruinous, Lotho, Sojourn, Moondragon(?)

Needs: Healers

MJ's Return Goes Awry

Hi Folks,

I'm most likely going to have to pick up my daughter in Los Gatos proper at 10 pm or so tonight.  I'll have to leave at about 9:30 to do so, and won't be back until 10:30 or so.  I know this throws a monkey wrench into group night planning.  My apologies.

Darkening Deeps-the Next Attempt (3/29/11)

Mel is out.  Chris and Phil sat out last time.  I have gotten Anaya to 24th, will probably make 25th at least by Tuesday, so I'll handle the healing (unless somebody has run up another Cleric when I wasn't looking).

We need Eran or Madraider to tank.  Jason, Jonathan, or Mike will have to sit out with Mel.  I'll sit out the next week (assuming Mel is back).

My suggestion for this week:

Tank: Eran or Madraider

Healer: Anaya

Mage: Rentai

Dps 1: Chris (Lotho or his Rogue, name not recalled)

Dps 2: Wryn or Ashkana

On bye: Mel and one more (Mike, Jonathan, or Jason)

Target Levels: 25-26 (I know Rentai is 22, that should be fine)

Success!

Nice job everybody!  It took us two tries on the Werewolf and 3 (or was it 4?) on the Spider, but we cleared Darkening Deeps.  Thanks to Mike for sitting this one out.  Chris did a good job tanking for us.  The only weak link was the blind healer who just couldn't seem to notice when the Spider was eyeing her.

Next week it's my turn to sit out, along with one other.  If memory serves, Jason has not missed a group night yet, and has already volunteered, so unless somebody else can't make it, I nominate he and me for byes.

Next week's suggested players: Mike, Mel, Jonathan, Phil, and Chris.  Jason and Rick as alternates.

Of course, most of our mains have finished the dungeon at least once, so we could run Rifts, do outdoor quests, or Warfronts if people prefer.  Also, we can try a higher level run for alts (thinking of Varaena here mostly) who haven't done it yet during the week.  I don't think we're ready for the next dungeon for a few levels at least.

No Problem

I am happy to sit this one out, but if I am needed, I will be on.

Groups

We now have enough seperation to give us two groups (whether both are played on Tuesdays or not remains to be seen).

High level group: Valtar (or Anaya), Eran, Khalyn, Vaerana, Lotho (or Kryten).

Low level group: Anaya (or Ruinous), Madraider, Nightfall, Ashkana, plus one more.

The following people are all working on characters who I've not included in the lists above yet: Mel, Rick N., Phil, Joel, and Jonathan's brother (sorry, I've forgotten his name).  As these characters reach 19th level, they are welcome to take the spots of those of us with higher level characters in any group night activities we have that limit group size (the dungeons).  If people catch up with the higher levels (I know Mel is close) they are welcome to swap in with the rest of us, we'll just have to take turns.

We have 10 people playing in the guild, enough to form our own 10 man raids.

Purifier

I'm working on getting Anaya up a couple of levels and trying out a Purifier/Sentinel/Warden build.  I just don't have enough AOE or quick enough main heals as a Warden right now.  We'll see if I can do a better job next time.

Official Group List

In order to help facilitate our regular Tuesday Night game, I propose we sign up here for the Role each of us wants to fill, and with which character/build.  This is not necessarily your main, or the character you play the most, but the one you will adhere to level limits and commit to playing with the group each Tuesday.

Main Tank:

Off Tank/Dps:

Main Healer: Anaya: PvE Cleric(Warden/Sentinel/Purifier); PvP Cleric (Warden/Sentinel/Templar)-Rick

Dps:

Please fill in the information for the slot you want, even if somebody else already has taken that slot, we'll sort out the final details in chat, or by posting here.

MJ Roles

EDIT:

I'm pretty much going to stick to playing Eran.  Paladin-Riftblade-Warlord in dungeons and when a tank is needed, Riftblade-Paladin-Warlord elsewhere.

Old:

Dungeon, Main Tank: Eran, 19th (Paladin-Warlord-Champion)

Warfronts, Off-Healer/DPS: Ariande, 16th (Bard-Rift Stalker-Blade Dancer)

As needed, Main Healer: Nightfall, 12th Warden-Inquisior-Sentinel (If I play him anymore, may switch to Justicar-Warden.)

Currently, I like Ariande best and I think she's a fantastic 5th character in a party with one of each of the main roles.  In a group without a Tank, I'll play Eran.  In a group with no direct healing, I'll play Nightfall.

EDIT: Now that Eran has Shield Charge, I'm much happier with him in either role.  The Paladin-Riftblade is my favorite.  I may well get the PvP soul for my third in Warfronts.

Eran DPS Role

Should I end up being in a group where someone else wants to tank, I'll simply play Eran in his Riftblade incarnation.  DPS is... more than adequate.  He's still quite durable in this role.  For the most part, I only plan to play Eran unless someone else needs healer help specifically, in which case I'll bring in Nightfall.

Jason's Characters

Group Night: Wryn: DPS; Rogue (Ranger/Saboteur/Bladedancer)

Main: Khalyn: DPS; Rogue (Ranger/Marksman/Riftstalker)
