Eran - Warrior, 26 (Paladin PVE, Riftblade PVP) - Main and Only Character Played

Nightfall - Cleric, 19 (Warden)

Ariande - Rogue, 16 (Bard)

Tank Rebuild

Looking at this as a Tank role rebuild.  Not really a lot of difference, but I like the increased mitigation from Reaver and VK.

Eran (Paladin/Reaver/Void Knight)

Nerf Response

I find the tremendous amount of warrior nerfing to be pretty demoralizing.  That said, I still like the Riftblade best (though Champion is now clearly superior), and think I may have come upon a combination I'll enjoy for PvP.  It allows me to keep stacking attack points at range and only go into melee if I want to.  The DoTs of the Reaver also benefit from the Riftblade's gift, and go with the steady DPS I like to see from this build.  I'm really leaning toward a 51 point Riftblade at this point, but the PvP soul might change my mind.  The Warrior incarnation is a bit subpar, so maybe not.

Eran (Riftblade/Reaver/Void Knight)

PvP Role

I went to add a third role to Eran for PvP, with the idea of making a Rift Blade-Reaver-Paladin, but discovered a 3rd Role costs nearly 4 pp.  Ouch!

Still, my Paladin-Riftblade-Warlord role is 3-1 in PvP, with the top Favor in each winning battle.  My only loss was when I somehow came into a battleground just before it ended, down 483-12.  Uggh!  Some warning would have been nice.  Anyway, I'm enjoying PvP with Eran quite a bit, even with a PvE optimized role.  I like the Codex better than the first battleground, but both are fun.  I enjoy healing with Nightfall quite a lot too, but it will be much more fun with a full group and voice chat.  Keeping more people alive only matters if they're making some attempt to do something effective.

EDIT: I reset Eran to full Riftblade 23 - 7 Paladin - 0 Warlord.  I'm really looking forward to getting him to 28 Riftblade, then I'll start upping Paladin to be closer to equal, or switch to Reaver for that.  The main nthing is to get Riftwalk, the Riftblades Teleport-Charge-CC-CC break ability down to a 25 sec. cooldown.  Fun!

Eran (Warrior)

Warrior (Paladin-Champion-Warlord) - Dungeon Role

Eran is intended to be a highly mobile tank, able to sustain large amounts of damage and self heal, while able to project his modest DPS and CC where it's most needed better than most other tanks.  His biggest weakness will be to magical damage, but even then he stops 15% of that off the top.  HP and Endurance are favored slightly over Strength in this build.

Paladin brings the bulk of his lasting power, and dictates his Sword & Board specialty.  He has a Hurled Shield and eventually two different ranged Life Hammer strikes that give him ranged DPS and CC.  Block works vs. Physical Ranged DPS, so I should have some modicum of a chance vs. a Marksman.

Champion gives him improved DPS, some amount of CC (fear and root) and most importantly, Bull Rush.  Once developed, he should be able to seek and destroy enemies very swiftly with a multitude of snare and root breaks, plus a very low cool down stunning charge.

The last Soul is currently Warlord, for the added Block and Armor % boosts, but it's very possible I'll eventually swap it for Rift Knight.

EDIT: This is looking more and more like Eran's PvE Role: Paladin-Rift Blade-Warlord

EDIT 2: I'm going to be looking carefully at this build.  Shield charge is sufficient for my charging needs, and Reaver would bring some further taunt and tanking options, more HP, damage mitigation, and some minor self healing.  The Paladin block based self healing is so small as to be trivial.  On the other hand, if I put enough points into Riftblade I can get Water Stance, which eliminates 8% of all incoming damage... pretty sweet.  The damage done to foes when they hit me and when I miss is nice too.  I like both.  The Warlord's 5% AoE miss chance on all enemy powers with 0 points in the soul is invaluable and stays, unless the PvP soul turns out to be better, or Void Knight becomes indispensable.
