Mike has indicated he would like to play a tank if he has somebody to heal.  I find I have not enjoyed the tanks in Rift.  I agree with Mike, we should have a Tank, a Healer, and a DPS.  With Jason playing DPS, I was thinking I might play a Chloromancer as my main with our dedicated 3 man group.  Here is Calyndra, one possible build.  This assumes Mike is playing his Paladin.

Here is Valtar.  I really like this build.  Good dps and lots of tricks, for PvE and PvP.

Confused

I don't understand your question, Mike.  Both builds have every Warden ability available, with the rest of my points in Sentinel in the PvE build, all invested in improving healing (so there is synergy with the Warden abilities).  My PvP build drops all the Sentinel points to improve survivability in PvP, in the Templar soul.  Since the game allows you to buy an "extra" Role (much like buying extra Talent specs in WoW), it is possible to have both at the same time.

However, both are complete shots in the dark; I have no clue how investing heavily in one tree vs. spreading points over three trees compare.  These builds assume you only can have 3 total souls.  Each class has one PvP soul available, and I included each in my experiments.  However, in the Beta, you are forced to choose your third soul without the PvP soul being an option, so it may replace one later, not be implemented yet, or be available as a fourth soul (since most of the abilities in the PvP soul trees require level 50 I assume it is probably an option later in the game).

I posted my beta 5 build plan in the original thread.  I'm still not sure of the value of the high end abilities in each tree... it would depend on casting time, how easy they are to interrupt, etc.  It looks like Rick has gone shallow into multiple trees for the Cleric, focusing on enhancing basic combat numbers and improving low end abilities instead.  Why is that, Rick?  Have you heard that the higher end abilities are impractical or no more effective than buffed up low end abilities?  Seems like you're leaving a LOT of healing on the table.
