Champions of the dragon god Erixalimar are essentially Champions of Justice with a few changes. Such individuals are extremely rare, and enjoy a direct link to their god that no other creatures in the Diamond Throne can claim. Erixalimar is far closer to the material plane than any other such entity in a position to grant their followers power, and thus the aura and abilities of his Champions are enhanced beyond most others. No one begins life as a Champion of Erixalimar and it is essentially a Prestige Class which can only be acquired through play, and by earning an intimate bond with the Dragon God. The changes are summarized below:
- Champions of Erixalimar are infused with the very essence of the Draconic race. They enjoy a boost to Charisma of +1 at the first Class level and +1/2 Class Levels thereafter (i.e. 1-2 = +1; 3-4 = +2, 5-6 = +3, etc. Their body scent changes, becoming subtly Draconic, and their skin slowly takes on an almost metallic sheen by 10th level or so, with the eyes becoming lit by an inner fire. Those creatures which regard dragons as enemies will at least feel uncomfortable around the Champion, or may be outright hostile if more driven by instinct.
- Champions of Erixalimar are able to take racial and evolved Dracha levels without the taint of the Tenebrian Seeds, even if they are not Dracha, though any physical traits they acquire will be ghostly in nature and generally not visible to the naked eye. They may take these levels as Replacement Champion levels, and they still count into the character's Champion Class level.
- Spells with the Dragon descriptor and Enchantment descriptors are considered one step lower for Champions of Erixalimar, i.e. Exotic spells become Advanced, Advanced spells become Simple. All spells and abilities utilized by such a character carry the Dragon descriptor.
- The character gains the dragon descriptor and is affected by any ability or spell that specifically affects dragons (i.e. Dragon Slaying weapons.)
- The Champion is immune to the Dragon Fear ability and gains +1 at first Class level and +1/3 class levels thereafter to saves vs. spells with the Dragon descriptor and against dragon breath weapons.
