Well,  DDO is not really my thing as I seemed to trail off and allow others to take my place.  Age of Conan had too many technical issues for me, and I see it did not hold anyone's attention for long.  I thought I would see if anyone is up tp giving Vanguard another shot while free play is still in effect to see if it has gotten any better.  I am up for playing something with everyone, but I want to enjoy the game as well as the company which is always wonderful with all of you.  Please let me know.

   I would be willing to

I would be willing to give DDO another try.  I left mostly because I did not seem to be much benefit to the group and I wanted others (Rick for example) to be able to play with the group.  He already had a good healer and I was below him which made sense for me to give up my spot which I did by simply not coming and allowing him to come which I assumed he would.  It was not something we discussed, but I know you all had played in the past and I did not, honestly, want to butt in.  That being said, if there is room for me somewhere, I do have the Cleric from before that I used with the group, but I could always run another up if need be.  More than anything, I miss spending time and talking with you all weekly.  I MISS MY FRIENDS that I have come to love, trust, and feel kindred to....

Hey Jason! Good to hear

Hey Jason! Good to hear from you!

Unfortunately, I probably liked Vanguard better than anyone here, and I just can't see going back. While I think the game had potential and could have been very good with the continued attention of a well staffed and dedicated dev team, I do not believe it was ever given that opportunity. More importantly, I love DDO, and think it's superior to every other MMO. I've been playing 2-3 nights a week, which may have doomed Conan even more surely than the many technical issues in that game.

I don't really have time to play more often and don't care to give up my limited DDO time to play a true MMO, which I find an empty experience by comparison. We have a really good group of 8 in DDO and could really use you, as we're moving toward raids that will allow 10-12 in a group. Mel, Rick and Phil are all trying to level alts currently, so we could accommodate you. However, if you feel the same enui in playing DDO as I do in most other MMOs, I suggest we just wait until something comes along that we're all compelled to at least try. Not sure what that'll be for me, as I'm utterly disenchanted with the grind for loot, grind to hit max level experience found in almost all MMOs. I will be investing time into the new Champions MMO when it comes out, as well as the KOTOR MMO Bioware is working on, but those are down the road a ways.

Let us know if you see anything else coming out that interests you.

Jason!

Good to see you're still alive!  I hope things are going well for, Jason.

You can't solo DDO, which is the main thing that seems to drive some of us away (like my son, the bum).  It is a game which lends itself to group play.  If you want to give it another try, we would be happy to work you into the mix, somehow.  The Saturday group is full (I'm an alt myself) but often needs a back-up.  The lower level groups, however, usually have a spot and you would be a welcome addition.  The lowest level group we have has a regular tank and mage.  We are short a healer (although I have one a little higher level, but she is sometimes needed to back-up the higher level group, and may soon be too high, so another healer would be welcome), a rogue, or a tank.  Another bard would make Mike J. very happy.  Whatever character you'd like to play, If you want to try and get one up to 4th level to join us, let me know.
