Tuesdays out for me in July

Hey Guys,

It looks like my schedule is going to be a little wonky in July. It looks like my Tuesdays are gone for raiding. So my schedule is exteremely limited. I'm down to Wednesdays or Fridays. If we can switch a night or two I can still raid, but other than that - it looks like I'll be joining Heather in a bit of a break. With our newly tuned Rogue and the ease of DPS pickups I'm hoping that you guys will not be too much in the lurch with Lycintia gone.

I'm also open to passing my account to someone we trust if you need someone to fill in who doesn't have an 85 PC on the server.

Summer Break From Raiding

As many of you already know I have decided to take a break from weekly raiding for the next month or two. (John will still be playing) I believe that Alexandra(Jaydenn) will still be out for the summer until she gets settled in to college ..she intends to come back to play (more frequently) in the fall.
I will still pop in to quest occasionally, so I will be happy to make flasks or transmute for you. Just send the mats to me in the in-game mail and I will make certain to check it regularly.
I will miss you guys.

Magmaw Tactics

I think the problem we were having was that Magmaw will cast Pillar of flames on anyone that is at least 15 yards away. We need to make sure all ranged and melee dps are within 15 yards and have one ranged further out. This way, the Pillar of flames will only be cast on the one ranged which will make it much easier to deal with.

Yeah this looks workable. A big part of our trouble last night was not knowing where the worms were going to show up. This fixes that issue nicely.

We Have a 10th Man

Cooking and Fishing in Pools

We need to Cook 5000 Cataclysm cooking recipes and fish in 10,000 pools to get the 2 feasts that can be eaten by the group/raid.

The 5000 cooking recipes are almost half way done and that will give us access to the lower feast. We are only around 800 for the fishing pools and that is the feast we ultimately want because it gives the best buffs. So if you can fish or cook, please spend some time doing this if you have the free time.

Fishing Pools can be found just about anywhere you can fish. They are little circles that sparkle in the water. You might want to get the Find Fishing talent to help find the pools. If you get the journal that teaches you this talent the fishing pools will be marked in your mini map. I think the journal now has a possiblity to be in the bag reward for doing the fishing daily.

You can also fish in pools in Northrend to try and fish up the Turtle mount at the same time.

Looks like you can fish up the Turtle mount in the Cataclysm areas too...

525 Leatherworking!

Hey Folks,

After working at it for ages, I’ve finally got the 525 leatherworking skill. I've got the DPS cloak recipe, and both high end leg armor packs. I've been farming spiders in Tol Barad to get leather to buy all of the recipes. I'm tapped out gold-wise, but if you tell me if you are looking for something I'll add the recipe to the top of my to-get list. I’ve already gotten Bushi some upgrades, and helped myself a bit as well.

I noticed blizzard has the full on screw your retailer offensive going. You can pre order cat from battlenet (full price mind you :p), it will dl now, show you the big bold intro and you will be all set for the midnight go live. Save a trip to the store and a long CD install, but Fry's and some others might have a slight discount (or might not). For those forgetful and lazy types (and lets be honest, those are the two types in our group, well there is the forgetful lazy Griffon too but lets not go there) I say go for it so we don't have a game night misfire :). I did already.

We can play Thanksgiving night (usual time) or Saturday night.
Friday night is no good due to the next day being the 'Ohio State vs. Michigan' game ..which mandates that we must attend early(Sat) am 'Kegs & Eggs' festivities ..and then of course THE GAME at noon.
That then leaves our late (Saturday) night free for gaming.

John/Heather/Alexandra (and likely Adam too)

If you haven't downloaded the patch yet it weighs in around six and a half gigabytes and takes 45-60 minutes or so to apply once downloaded. If you aren't keen on using Blizzard's downloader here's some mirrors: http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors The list of changes is enormous but a few highlights are: graphics engine upgrade, interface upgrade&changes, reforging; allows you to change useless stats on items, many class ability/talent changes, many stat changes; sp power, arpen, block, defense, mana per 5, weapon skill, spell ranks removed from the game. Most addons will no longer function but many have been updated, be sure to use your favorite addon update program to get back up to date with those that have already pushed new versions.

I'll be around this evening assuming the servers are working and maybe we can do some scattered stuff and see how the new game functions before we do a more organized run Thursday evening.

I think most of us can buy it at Honor Hold from Hargen Bronzewing. He is Stormwind Faction.
