The Guild

This flash based web show was recommended to me a week or two ago and I've now watched all available episodes, including the excellent music video, "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar?". The video is also available on iTunes. Alternately disturbing, hilarious, and often both, the show is a great lampoon of MMO addiction and dedication. Sometimes it may cut too close to personal reality for comfort, but that's part of what makes it good. You can view all the episodes here. BTW, it's actually fairly high quality low budget live action, not animated. The pic to the left is just from the very short episode lead ins.

Felicia Day, the love interest from "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along BLOG" is an MMO addict who's therapist drops her from treatment at the start of the series for failure to acknowledge to work on her addiction. The fun kicks into gear when one of her guildies mistakes their on-line camaraderie for love and tracks her down in real life. Hilarity ensues...
