My son got this game for his birthday and I just got a chance to watch him playing it for about an hour last night. The encounter (seemingly the first encounter) with the Scarecrow was something to behold. One of the creepiest and coolest things I've seen in a video game. The combination of excellent gameplay and great cinematics was very impressive. Combat is fast, brutal, and very much Batman in action. The facial rendering could be slightly better, and I can't imagine the conclusion living up to what I've seen so far, but this game is a must get for any console gaming fan, IMO. If you're a Batman fan, you ought to already have it.

12 bucks? Worth it.
If anyone missed this one I see it is down to 12.49 on the Games for Windows site. I have never actually bought anything through there but this is a great price for this game.

I'm playing the PC version
I'm playing the PC version and it's tremendous. It is fairly linear and there are a number of little things one could pick on, but none of that detracts from the satisfying core play.
Even zero punc admitted that he was pretty much reaching for anything really critical (yeah no real new game play elements but the packaging is so nice it's forgivable)
Waiting on PC
Yeah I played the 360 demo too. The GWJ guys were talking about this on their podcast too and all of them seemed to think highly of it. I really want it for my PC too though so I have been resisting the call of the 360 for now.

Yeah I played the demo on the 360 and it was awesome. The PC version is out on the 15th, I'm definitely planing to pick it up.
