Play In July?
Can folks play either the 9th or 10th of July? As of now I can make a game happen sometime that weekend. Let me know!

7/10 Preferred
We can play on 7/10. For various reasons, I'd prefer to leave 7/9 open. V will be on a trip with her grandmother and won't be available.

Game
I'm afraid I can't make it either of those days.

Malcolm's Missive
Malcolm has been locked away with the book for months now. While he seems no stranger or darker than he has since he began wrestling with the Book of Ebon Bindings, he certainly seems no less so. He has become painfully thin, his still well kept appearance a thin veneer over the desperation that constantly haunts his eyes. The almost supernatural aura of vitality and self possession he once exuded is now a distant memory, shredded to tatters by the thorns that have repeatedly torn his body and spirit. Nonetheless, he maintains a clarity of thought that is a bit frightening in its intensity. One morning, about 2 months before The Day, he emerges from the room he has made his study and gathers everyone together to discuss the immediate future.
"I have been preoccupied with thoughts that we might fail in disrupting whatever it is that Nathaniel has planned. Even if what he bargains for is none of our concern, if the Cornerstone is not fed, our world could fall into darkness. I cannot allow that to happen."
"Most of you know that I am of the Jesuit order. An investigator of things supernatural, and in most cases forbidden. Technically, I left the order more than a year ago in disagreement with some of its policies, but in truth there is no leaving the brotherhood I am a part of, and they have their eyes on me still, when they can. For the crime of reading this tome, I will be sanctioned when they catch up to me. Any of you who appear to be corrupted by the knowledge contained herein will also be under a death sentence. They cannot allow such dangerous knowledge to exist in the world, you see, and just by possessing that knowledge we have become a great danger."
"It is in my mind to tell the order what I have done, and where I will be on the day we plan to attack Nathaniel. I could tell them enough of one of the rituals to convince them I will be conducting it on the other side of where we will build the gate. It would most likely result in my death, and likely some of yours, but it would be assurance that someone else will have the chance to recover the Cornerstone if we fail. I tell you this, because I believe it to be the only conscionable course of action, but it is all of our lives we risk to follow that course. I would hear your wishes in this matter."
"On another note I believe it is time we came to "know our enemy". I would like to approach the leaders of the church in town that appears to be controlled by Nathaniel's nominal allies and ask them who they are, and what their "religion" offers that they try so hard to protect. Perhaps we can convince them that we believe they are onto something of value that we wish to share in. They have not pursued us or tried to kill us, and it is my thought that they may wish to convert us. I may well be wrong, but I deem it to be worth the attempt. Currently, I'm still deeply involved with teaching some of you spells. I could take a few days to pursue this, or someone else well versed and religion and the persuasion of others can make the overture. Again, I wish to hear what you all think in this matter."
"Our time grows short. We need to cease waiting and begin acting."
Investigating the Superstition Mountains
Hey Folks,
After mourning Kat and Raven, and burying Raven you are going to have some time to plan out your next attack on the Mountains, and what you are going to do.
McAllister is going to arrange a sitting for you with a group of Apache wise men in a nearby reservation. It is going to take some time, so he suggests that you do some research and figure out the best way to approach whatever that air spirit was guarding. He is willing to lead you back into the mountains, but feels that you need a plan.
It will take a week to arrange the sitting with the Apache. You can use that time to investigate things around Phoenix if you so wish. If I don’t hear from anyone I will assume that you are not going to do anything until you speak with the Indians.
Also, one further note. I have established the current date (when you return to Phoenix) it is Tuesday, June 16th 1925. The Meeting will happen on June 20th. McAllister is planning on heading back in on Monday the 22nd.
Does 9/19 work for the next game?

Malcolm
Clearly sick at the loss of Kat, Malcolm has acquired an almost fevered energy. As soon as the group returns to Phoenix, he plans to sit down with McAllister and his daughter and tell them why the group is here and what the stakes are. He'll use all his persuasion skill to try and convince the elder that not returning is riskier than going back, and the daughter that she would be better waiting behind and organizing a rescue party in case we don't return.
After that, he'll spend all his time in various libraries, and try to team with Madame Blanche to search the newspaper records for any lost accounts of incidents in and around the mountains. In addition, he'll try to unearth any occult sources, written or verbal, in the area and seek some way to ward off or hide from the wind spirits, as well as other mystic threats the Apache associate with the mountains. If there are good Catholic libraries, he'll look into any lesser known expeditions into the mountains, of Jesuits or missionaries, and try to determine if the fates of such expeditions might hold useful information.
